General Responsibility: To assist with planning, implementation and completion of assigned project in regards to the manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Work with supervisor to ensure the scope and direction of each project is on schedule and on budget
- Provide administration and clerical support as requested
- Filing, creating, maintaining and updating binders
- Ability to complete basic carpentry projects
- Ability to complete basic electrical projects
- Ability to complete basic plumbing projects
- Ability to complete basic mig/tig welding projects
- Unpack and deliver materials to other departments
- Replace filters, lights and screens as needed
- Gather quotes and negotiate the best price for projects given
- Make online purchases as requested
- Cross train in all departments to gain an understanding of each role
- Maintain exterior as requested; including but not limited to:
- Clean fence line
- Clear parking lot of sand, ice and/or snow
- Clear roof of ice
- Pull weeds
- Power wash, sand buildings
- Shovel snow
- Spread salt
- Clean gutters
- Paint
- Maintain interior as requested; including but not limited to:
- Cleaning – dusting, magic eraser, sweeping, mopping, windows, bathrooms, kitchen, etc.
- Organizing offices, storage spaces, utility closets, etc.
- Assists in control of materials used
- Ability to read and understand prints
- Ability to work in dusty environment
- Ability to work in a hot environment
- Knowledge of hazardous chemical handling and disposal
Quality Control
- Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with company standards and/or specifications
- Directing objectives to maximize profitability
- Monitor own performance - self-audit for accuracy and produce high level output
