POSITION: Working HVAC Project Manager

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES
HVAC PM
We are looking for leaders!
If you have been in the trade and want to progress to the next level in your career this working HVAC PM role could be for you. Besides being a leader you will be required to:
Install new heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. Inspect current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety. Perform preventative maintenance on HVAC systems to increase longevity. Conduct performance tests with specialized tools. Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems. Work with maintenance contract for current customers. Updating records of customer appointments. Maintain accurate inventory of all equipment and HVAC resources.
MACHINES, TOOLS EQUIPMENT USED
All hand tools; power tools; ladders; lift equipment; scissor lifts; torches; recovery equipment for refrigeration; refrigeration gauges; cylinder of refrigerants; electrical meters; PPE; ropes; pens/pencils; flashlights and tape measures.
EXPERIENCE
Experience servicing, repairing, and installing commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning; refrigeration systems and heat pumps.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED is required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Leadership skills
- 2 years or more experience as a Service Technician
- Maine State Gas License preferred.
- Large Gas Equipment Endorsement would be a plus.
- CFC certification is required.
- Journeyman Oil 1 & 2 under 15 GPH License not required but valued.
- Knowledge of electrical controls is a plus.
- Valid Maine or New Hampshire Driver’s License
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritize, manage time well, multitask, meet deadlines, and adapt to constantly changing interactions.
- Must be punctual and adhere to a daily schedule with multiple appointments in different locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills. The ability to explain HVAC issues with customers in a way that they understand.
- Basic computer skills and/or the ability to be trained in basic Excel and Word to attain the level of “intermediate”. Use of company time and material tracking system to integrate with the billing process.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Position requires exerting up to 50 pounds of force frequently. This position requires exposure to marked changes in temperature, and humidity or extremes thereof. It requires working at heights, and exposure to dust, fumes, gases and chemicals. It requires working indoor and outdoor, including all weather conditions. It requires travel to job sites, some of which are not local, and may require an overnight stay.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
