General Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Industrial Robotic Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robotic automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes. As an Industrial Robotic Automation Engineer, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop cutting-edge automation systems that enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety in our manufacturing operations.
Essential Functions:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing requirements and identify opportunities for automation.
- Design, develop, and optimize robotic automation solutions tailored to specific manufacturing processes and environments.
- Program, integrate, and configure industrial robots, including robotic arms, manipulators, and end-of-arm tooling, to perform complex tasks with precision and efficiency.
- Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and risk assessments to evaluate the performance and safety of robotic automation systems.
- Implement advanced sensing and vision systems to enable robots to perceive and interact with their environment autonomously.
- Develop custom software applications and interfaces to control and monitor robotic automation systems, including PLC programming and HMI development.
- Install, commission, and debug robotic automation equipment, ensuring smooth integration with existing manufacturing infrastructure.
- Provide training and support to production personnel on the operation and maintenance of robotic automation systems.
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of robotic automation systems, troubleshooting issues and implementing improvements as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in robotics technology and industry best practices to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in designing, programming, and implementing industrial robotic automation systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in robotics programming languages such as ROS (Robot Operating System), Python, or C++.
- Strong understanding of robotics kinematics, dynamics, and control theory.
- Experience with robotic simulation software (e.g., RobotStudio, ROS MoveIt) and CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus) and control systems (e.g., PLC, SCADA).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
