Our therapy services empower our clients to reach developmental goals while building upon the unique way they already interact with the world. Our vision is to improve each child’s daily life by fostering new ways of thinking, problem solving, and communicating.
The Playworks Difference
We offer a personal, caring, family-focused environment centered on each individual child. Our innovative approaches are rooted in strong, evidence-based practices leveraging the Developmental, Individual-differences, and Relationship-based (DIR) Floortime model. We build upon each child’s individual capacities rather than only treating isolated behaviors and splinter skills. Children are most at ease while at play: playing gives a child independence while also allowing them to experiment and express themselves in their own unique way that is vital to the child’s whole brain development. This model empowers us to understand each child’s individual developmental capacities that recognizes their individual differences and supports the relationships to foster the child’s growth and development. We also recognize that a child’s growth does not happen exclusively in our clinic, so our comprehensive approach addresses not only the needs of each child, but also their interactions with their families and caregivers.
