HR PAYROLL SPECIALIST
Lyon Real Estate, the premier real estate brokerage company serving the
Greater Sacramento region for over 75 years, is looking for a talented, customer service focused individual to join our Human Resources team. This is a full time, onsite opportunity at our Sacramento corporate headquarters reporting directly to the Director of Human Resources.
The HR Payroll Specialist is a valuable and trusted resource who provides a broad range of human resources administrative support to our employees and sales agents. Successful candidates must have the ability to work both independently and collaboratively across the organization, demonstrate initiative, possess a high level of integrity and develop trusting relationships with internal and external customers.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Process semi-monthly payroll for employees
- Respond to HR/payroll related questions and requests from employees, management and various agencies
- Manage employee benefits administration and assist with open enrollment
- Manage the on/off-boarding process for employees and agents
- Maintain confidential files/data for employees, agents and the department
- Support recruiting and selection process i.e. prescreening candidates, job postings, scheduling interviews, background checks and job offers
- Process and follow up on workers compensation, disability and unemployment claims as directed
- Coordinate and manage HR procedures and training for employees as directed
- Perform a variety of office and customer service support assignments including back-up support for the Front Desk Receptionist
- Assist with employee activities, wellness initiatives and employee recognition programs
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned
Job Requirements & Education
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Business or Human Resources preferred or a combination of work experience and education and/or HR certification
- Minimum 3 years payroll processing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of benefits administration and human resources adminstration
- Minimum 1 year of recruiting experience
- Knowledge of basic payroll processing, Federal/State labor and employment law including leaves of absence
- Experience with HRIS software is required. PAYCOM preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Knowledge of real estate industry a plus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
