QUALITY CONTROL
Reports to: Quality Manager
Status: Non-Exempt
Quality Control inspects work in process & final product to ensure it meets RIM quality standards.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Proficient in assigned welding techniques including metal inert gas (MIG) and gas metal arc (GMAW).
- Inspect product using gauges, coordinate measuring machine, protractor, coating thickness meter, and vision prior to shipment
- Generate & complete spreadsheets for final inspection data collection
- Provide support to production supervisors in identifying quality issues & helping to mitigate.
- Notify management or follow containment protocol when a systemic quality issue is discovered to minimize impact to customer and to production, as well as to minimize internal rework.
- Periodic verification of gages used in production according to quality procedures.
- All other duties as assigned by supervisor
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:
- One-year experience in a Quality Technician role.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Able to read and interpret design drawings including blue prints and specifications.
