JOB SUMMARY: The Day Services Team Lead serves as a supervisor in the Day Service Program and also acts as the main contact Day Services Mentors to train, plan, and deliver quality programming . He/she will excel in service delivery, coordinating schedules for the day service program, and responding to the needs to associates in programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Adhere to LPP’s mission, core values, policies and procedures, applicable rules and regulations, contracts, service agreements, licensing, and other agreements
· Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with peers/staff through honest, supportive interactions and integrity
· Support development department goals at LPP by being a goodwill ambassador at special events
· Act as primary contact and leader for all Day Service Mentors
· Create training plans for new Day Service Mentors and provide support and training throughout onboarding
· Support Day Service Mentors as they complete trainings to ensure understanding and implementation of training
· Work closely with case management team to ensure understanding of associate updates
· Ensure that team is informed of organizational/department updates, associate updates in verbal or written communication
· Assist Service Director with monthly Day Service meetings
· Establish a schedule for Day Service Programming, providing time for Day Service staff to prep and maintain department
· Plan group activities, coordinate explorative community-based activities, and help with organization of visitor groups
· Develop and maintain community mapping to ensure associates have the best possible community engagement
· Verify of service dates of visiting providers (Music for All, Animal Encounters, Inclusive Artistry, etc) and cross reference attendance of visiting groups and coordinate payment
· Provide feedback to Services Director and be present for annual reviews for all staff in day service department
· Lead tours/introductions of day service department
· Assist marketing efforts of photos and videos taken in Day Service
· Be an active member of the Crisis Team
· Greet associates at morning arrivals and take attendance
REQUIREMENTS:
· Attend regular meetings/ training courses
· Complete Certified Direct Care Professional Training through UW Green Bay (once hired in position)
· Carry out special assignments when directed
· Demonstrate core values at all times
· Schedule Monday – Friday 7:30 am – 4:00 pm
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
· At least 2 years of experiences working with people with disabilities
· Have a strong working knowledge of computer operation
· Effective oral and written communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and ability to use time effectively
