POSITION PURPOSE
The Radiology Technologist shall provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of Radiology equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Associate degree or radiologic graduate from an accredited Radiography Program
Experience and Qualifications:
· Minimum of 2 - year prior experience as a Radiology Technologist in a hospital setting.
· Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills.
· Demonstrate emotional maturity and ability to function effectively when under stress.
Licenses/Certificates:
· Certification by the Texas Department of Health
· Registry with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
· Current certification in CPR
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
· The radiology technologist is responsible for safely and proficiently performing general radiology procedures.
· Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired regarding personal, financial, medical or employment of patients, families, and employees of SSHA.
· Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
· Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to fulfill positions requirements and responsibilities.
- This position primarily involves standing, walking, twisting, reaching, bending/stooping, pushing, pulling and lifting to transfer patients on a daily basis.
- This position requires using arm, leg and back muscles frequently and for extended periods of time, and additionally involves both hands and legs regularly.
- This position requires regular work with equipment and movable parts.
- This position requires work with hands in water and occasionally with or near chemicals.
- Must be able to continuously deal effectively with stress created by residents, multiple tasks, noises, interruptions, and work cooperatively as part of the health care team while maintain a pleasant attitude.

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
