We are seeking a passionate and experienced HR Staffing Specialist to join our team and help us attract and hire skilled Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who will make a positive impact on the lives of the individuals we serve.
Position Summary:
The HR Staffing Specialist will play a crucial role in identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the unique needs of this workforce, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to sourcing and recruiting top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract qualified Direct Support Professionals.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, community outreach, and partnerships with local educational institutions and vocational programs.
- Candidate Screening and Assessment:
- Review resumes, conduct phone screenings, and interview candidates to assess their qualifications, experience, and alignment with the organization's mission and values.
- Coordinate and facilitate interview processes with hiring managers and relevant stakeholders.
- Community Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, advocacy groups, and other relevant networks to create a pipeline of potential candidates.
- Attend job fairs, community events, and other recruitment-related activities to promote the organization and its career opportunities.
- Onboarding and Support:
- Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring they are well-prepared and integrated into their roles.
- Provide ongoing support to new employees, addressing any concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to facilitate employee engagement activities.
- Data Management and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all recruitment activities and candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
- Generate regular reports on recruitment metrics and progress towards hiring goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in recruiting, preferably within the non-profit or healthcare sectors.
- Strong understanding of the unique challenges and rewards of working with individuals with disabilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.

Schedule: Part time position at 24 hrs/week. There's some flexibility in determining work hours but regularly scheduled in person office hours are required in order to attend/conduct in person meetings and interviews each week. To be discussed in more detail at interview. Possibility of occasional Saturday or evening hours to attend/represent Agency at an event.
