A position is available for a full-time LVN to work with the physician and clinical team and be well-organized and capable to multitasking, with the ability to carry out assigned duties. They should be responsible, detail-oriented, and have a keen interest in professional development. It's essential that they provide safe patient care in accordance with AFMC's nursing protocols. They should be demonstrate sound nursing judgement and problem solving abilities. Excellent customer service skills are a must, along with positive communication skills and the ability to quickly establish a rapport with customers. They should be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Orientation:
The nurse without reproductive health experience will generally orient for three months. If the nurse has previous reproductive health experience, then orientation will be shorter but will be individualized based on existing skill and knowledge. An assessment will be made at the end of orientation to assess continuous learning needs.
Clinical duties and responsibilities would include:
· Patient education
· IV administration
· Post-procedure recovery
· Call medication dosages to patients after coordination with physician
Operational duties include assisting physicians:
· Train and supervise medical and administrative assistants
· Track and assess key performance indicators
· Assist with safety monitoring and compliance
· Provide leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of support, loyalty, and integrity
Qualifications & Requirements:
. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
· Current unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice
· 1 or more years experience in direct patient care
· Organizational skills
· BLS and ACLS certified
. Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures
· Women’s health experience preferred, but not required
· Fluency in English/Spanish
