We are seeking a dedicated Water and Wastewater Operations Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our water and wastewater treatment facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring plant operations, performing routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations and will need to be a motivated self-start able to work alone or in a team setting as necessary. This is a field manager position requiring the candidate to perform operational/maintenance task while managing field operators.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain all equipment associated with water and wastewater treatment, including pumps, valves, filters, and chemical feed systems.
- Monitor plant operations through control systems and on-site inspections to ensure efficient function and compliance with all regulations.
- Conduct routine tests and inspections to ensure water quality meets required standards.
- Respond to emergency situations or equipment failures, including on-call duties as necessary.
- Record and report operational data, completing all necessary logs and documentation in a written and digital format.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to implement process improvements and troubleshoot issues.
Qualifications:
- Must hold or be able to obtain a Level C or higher certification in water/wastewater treatment.
- Proven experience in water and wastewater operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of the operational processes and maintenance requirements of water and wastewater facilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Must be available for on-call emergencies and able to work various shifts as needed.
- Must live with in 50 miles of job location and live within a 1-hour response time.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $37.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
