Vice President of Business Development
SUMMARY: The Vice President of Business Development is responsible for signing new clients for the products and services offered by UCLS. Working with the executive team, will define and identify companies and individuals that can benefit from working with UCLS. Establishing contact and relationships with stakeholders in targeted organizations that lead to introductions and the opportunity to pitch the UCLS value proposition. Following up and closing deals when there is interest is essential. Will manage marketing efforts as well as the development of marketing materials and venues that best showcase the services and operational partnerships provided by UCLS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):
- Responsible for the growth of the business portfolio using various methods and delivery channels.
- Provides recommendations and strategies to clients to broaden business opportunities to UCLS and clients.
- Manages and coordinates all client presentations, proposals, and requests for UCLS services.
- Responsible for understanding client satisfaction.
- Assists in strategic planning for company growth.
- Understands, recognizes and recommends potential client needs.
- Tracks status of prospect communications and advancement through the new business cycle, using the Company’s CRM.
- Updates, manages, and reports out of the Company’s CRM and becomes SME on the system.
- Continuously reviews and analyzes market trends to forecast industry needs and business opportunities.
- Stays abreast of changes to federal and state mortgage laws affecting operations.
- Prepare and present meaningful and actionable reports to senior management.
- Presents a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Helps coordinate marketing efforts to best showcase the services, capabilities, and value of UCLS.
- Compliance and adherence at all times with the organization’s Code of Ethics and Conduct as well as all our company policies.
- Other duties or tasks as assigned by management.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
- A minimum of 5-years progressive business development experience working in the residential mortgage and/or affiliated financial services verticals strongly preferred
- Previous experience in a financial services company(s) that provided exposure to mortgage servicing, capital markets and/or other affiliated business that would lead to an understanding of UCLS value adds.
- Established contacts or the ability to effectively network to create contacts with mortgage bankers, federal & state banks, credit unions, and investors.
