We are a small but growing MSP that is looking for a team member who is fun to be around, inquisitive, committed to working hard for our clients, responsible, and trustworthy. You should be a very solid generalist and able to confidently take on any issue – particularly problems you have never seen before. You will see new issues daily and must have a methodical approach to problem solving and share learned knowledge within the team.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Remote and onsite work at client offices to resolve issues.
- Provide 2nd tier technical support through email, phone, and ticketing system.
- Helpdesk support through phone and remote tools
- Software and hardware support
- Contacting technical vendors to resolve issues.
- Technical research for software, hardware, and services to fill client needs.
- Regular maintenance and support for computers/servers/network equipment
- Documenting procedures and technical issues
Requirements
- Able to interact and talk with clients on a professional and personal level.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in an IT support role or 2+ years with an MSP
- Excellent organizational and time-management/tracking skills
- Troubleshooting skills and technical knowledge
- Industry recognized certifications a plus (Microsoft, A+, Cisco, Apple)
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Currently located within Indian Trail, NC
- Reliable car and valid driver's license
Important skills for a Computer Doc employee:
Communication – you will be working directly with clients (end users to company owners) and need to support and talk to them about their technology issues in a way that they can understand. Interpersonal skills are very important in this environment.
Troubleshooting – with many clients in different industries using different products we run into many situations that we have not seen before. But with the right troubleshooting experience and knowledge those issues can be resolved. It is important to be able to analyze the issues and use a breadth of resources to find a resolution to the problem.
Technical skills – It is impossible to know about all technologies and products but in general we work with these products daily:
- Windows 10. 11
- Mac OS X & iOS
- Microsoft 365 – email, Office, AD, Azure, SharePoint
- Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell
- Mobile devices – iOS/Android configuration and troubleshooting.
- QuickBooks
- Autotask and Datto RMM or another PSA/RMM knowledge is helpful but not required.
- Technology – Having your finger on the pulse of new developments in our industry.
Compensation and Benefits
- This is a full-time position starting at $20-30/hr.
