We are hiring proactive and vigilant Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of school athletics events. As a member of our security team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining order, preventing disruptions, and responding to emergencies during athletic activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, keen observational abilities, and a commitment to promoting a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities:
- Event Security: Monitor school athletics events to prevent unauthorized access, disturbances, or safety hazards.
- Crowd Control: Manage crowd flow and behavior to maintain a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for attendees.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to incidents such as injuries, fights, or medical emergencies, and coordinate with emergency services as necessary.
- Patrol and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of athletics facilities, parking areas, and perimeter to detect and deter suspicious activity.
- Access Control: Enforce access control procedures to safeguard athletic venues, equipment, and restricted areas.
- Baggage Checks: Conduct thorough checks of bags, backpacks, and other belongings to prevent prohibited items from entering the premises.
- Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with athletics staff, event organizers, and law enforcement personnel.
- Report Writing: Document incidents, observations, and security breaches accurately and promptly in written reports.
- Equipment Operation: Operate security equipment such as handheld metal detectors, radios, and surveillance cameras proficiently.
- Policy Adherence: Ensure compliance with school policies, safety protocols, and legal regulations related to security operations.
- Customer Service: Provide courteous assistance and information to attendees regarding event guidelines, seating arrangements, and emergency procedures.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
