Under direction of the Child Care and Child Welfare Employee Licensing Background Check Unit Manager, supervises the receipt and review of incoming Authorizations for Background Check and other materials requesting transfer of clearances to determine compliance with Department rule, policy and procedures; serves as working supervisor; performs various functions related to the processing of Authorizations for Background Checks submitted by licensed child care facilities and DHS license exempt providers; reviews indicated CANTS reports and complete matrix; maintains responsibility for various critical data entry transactions of a confidential nature, requiring extensive independent judgment and discretion; serves as liaison to licensed child care facility staff and Department staff regarding Authorizations for Background Check.
1. Supervises the receipt and review of incoming Authorizations for Background Check and other materials requesting transfer of clearances to determine compliance with Department rule, policy and procedures.
2. Serves as working supervisor.
3. Performs various functions related to the processing of Authorizations for Background Checks submitted by licensed childcare facilities and DHS license exempt providers.
4. Maintains responsibility for various critical data entry transactions of a confidential nature.
5. Serves as liaison to licensed childcare facility staff and Department staff regarding.
6. . Develops and maintains logs and reports related to application material processed through Central Office of Licensing.
7. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
1.Requires, knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of two years study at a secretarial/business college and one year of office experience,
OR completion of high school and three years Office Assistant experience,
OR three years independent business experience.
1. Requires the ability to pass a background check.
