Accountant/Bookkeeper:
Forte Homes is an established Custom Home Builder that is based in the East Valley. We are looking to hire an experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper with construction background. A successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills and an ability to multitask.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Processes all AR/AP and maintains good working relationships with outside vendors.
- Sets up new jobs, codes invoices, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books.
- Prepares monthly financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.
- Prepares customer payment applications, change orders, and tracks lien waivers.
- Assist with owner draw preparations.
- Maintain current and new vendor insurance and W-9’s.
- Files monthly sales tax forms in compliance with state and municipal regulations.
- Manages HR functions to include new hire forms, time tracking, payroll processing, health insurance administration.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with QuickBooks and Microsoft Office/Google Suite.
- Experienced with general financial accounting and job cost accounting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Payroll calculating and processing.
- Process bank and general ledger reconciliations.
Education and Experience:
- AA Degree in Accounting
- Real Estate Knowledge is preferred
- 5 years of accounting experience preferred.
- 1 year Construction experience preferred.
Work Setting:
- This is not a remote position.
- Forte Homes Office that is located in Chandler.
