Job Title: Composite Technician I & II
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Composite Technician level I and II (Team Leader) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and handling materials to create high-quality composite products. As a Composite Technician, you will utilize mechanical knowledge and a variety of hand tools to build and finish composite components. Experience in carpentry, millwork, machining, and operating forklifts is highly desirable.
Duties For Composite Tech & Team Leaders (Comp Tech I & II):
- Supervisory position that requires team management skills (for Composite Tech II -Team Leader )
- Working from engineering drawings, written work instructions and process specifications to fabricate composite structures and prototype components
- Prepreg and wet layup fabrication techniques, including vacuum bag processing, bonding, and oven/autoclave curing
- Resin Infusion
- Fabrication of tooling and master patterns from various materials such as epoxy tooling blocks, carbon fiber, and wood
- Working with small shop power tools (saws, routers, sanders, and grinders)
- Assembly of composite structures including setup, bonding, and fastener applications
- Process control in support of FFC’s ISO Quality Management System (A Plus)
Basic Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of composite fabrication and process control
- Ability and willingness to work within a collaborative team environment
- Motivated to learn and develop skillset in Prepreg lamination as well as Resin Infusion
- Ability to work in an organized and clean manner
- Ability to read and understand basic construction drawings and laminae schedules
- Proficiency with using the metric system
Desired Skills
- Composite material and Process development/fabrication experience.
- Experience Operating NC mills, routers and manually operating lathes, grinders, saws, and other various shop tools.
- Past experience in advanced composite fabrication and assembly
- Background in carpentry or millwork is advantageous
- Knowledge of machining processes is a plus
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings a plus
- Experience in materials handling and storage a plus

Pay: $21.35 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
