ACCOUNT MANAGER - ARLINGTON, TX
Job Description:
AFC Industries, a leading distributor of industrial fasteners and assembly components, is seeking to fill the position of Account Manager for the Arlington, TX location. The successful candidate will have at least two years of experience selling in an industrial marketplace, have a strong mechanical aptitude, be willing to make day trips and some overnight trips to visit customers, understand material scheduling and quality control processes, and to be a team player.
This position will be responsible for the account management of one of our most valued customers, and as such, the successful candidate must be self-directed and motivated, willing to go the extra mile to ensure total customer satisfaction, and willing to take responsibility for their actions. The Account Manager reports to the Director of Inside Sales
Educational Requirements
- Business, Management, Supply Chain or related degree preferred
Work Experience Requirements
- 2 years related work experience
- Production parts planning & scheduling
- Technical aptitude, print reading & interpretation
- Purchasing & expediting experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Ability to be flexible and prioritize tasks
- Solid Excel skills as well as working knowledge of other Microsoft products
- Experience in P21, INxSQL, or other ERP system experience a plus
Job Duties
- Provide stellar customer service to exceed customer expectations
- Source products and material from network of established vendors
- Provide quotes for pricing and lead time
- Determine and manage overall and product specific margin for customers
- Manage order flow, schedule, and expedite products when needed
- Contract Review
- Assist with preparation and delivery of presentations to customer
- Provide technical assistance and recommendations for products
- Analyze program data and make recommendations based on findings
- Work with team to identify opportunities to improve program, increase sales, and provide a better experience for the customer
- Other duties as assigned
