Job Title: Sales Support Specialist
Job Summary: The Sales Support Specialist will play a crucial role in proactively assisting our Sales Account Managers by preparing customer quotes and conducting product research, processing customer orders, creating sales proposals and bids, and assisting with contract negotiations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Overall, we are looking for a friendly team player who has a strong work ethic and excellent communication.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and timely customer quotes based on information provided by sales representatives.
- Create compelling sales proposals and bids that align with customer needs and company capabilities.
- Assist in sales contract negotiations by providing administrative and logistical support.
- Collaborate with the sales team to ensure all documentation meets company standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain organized records of sales proposals, bids, contracts, and other sales-related documentation.
- Coordinate with various departments such as finance, legal, and operations to gather necessary information for proposals and contracts.
- Handle inquiries from customers regarding quotes, proposals, and contract terms.
- Monitor and track sales opportunities and follow up with sales team members as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the sales team, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and maintaining CRM data.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
- Provide clients and prospects with knowledge and support on products by understanding characteristics, capabilities, and features
- Search and identify prospective customers by visiting businesses within the sales territory
- Follow-up on sales quotes
- Answer client questions about credit terms, products, pricing, and availability
- Escalate inquiries and requests as necessary to the appropriate department or person following outlined guidelines
- Work with vendors during situations where technical support is needed
- Grow existing customer accounts through exceptional customer service and effective sales techniques
- Provide in-store sales coverage when needed
- Any other tasks as necessary
Required Skills:

- Basic computer skills in various software and web-based applications
- High school diploma or equivalent required, College degree preferred.
