Job Title: Quality Manager
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer
Quality Manager Job Summary:
The Quality Manager has the overall responsibility to ensure that every product or service manufactured by the Company meets customer expectations and industry standards. The Quality Manager is responsible for managing the quality team including quality engineers, auditors, and inspectors/operators. This team is responsible for creating and implementing testing systems for Company products. This position interfaces with both internal and external contacts and serves as the Company’s quality liaison with both the customer and supplier base. The work environment is split between the office and plant setting.
Quality Manager Job Description:
- Ensure that the Company’s quality management system conforms to customer, internal, and ISO and IATF standards
- Develop quality control processes and procedures
- Oversee all new product development procedures to identify deviations from quality standards
- Monitor, measure, and review existing internal processes that impact the quality of the Company’s products
- Guarantee timely inspection, calibration, and accuracy of monitoring and measuring devices
- Document and remedy the cause of product deficiencies, including statistical analysis and required customer reporting for all defects and nonconformance’s
- Improve product efficiency and manage waste
- Set requirements for casting and component suppliers and monitor their compliance
- Supervise the full quality team and provide guidance and feedback
Quality Manager Job Requirements:
- Ability to read, understand, and balloon blueprints
- Ability to interpret specifications and schematics
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Knowledge of APQP and PPAP processes
- Demonstrates competency in MSA and SPC
- Knowledge of IMDS
- Ability to use gauges such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
- Ability to read and understand CMM data
- Ability to problem solve and analyze data utilizing Six Sigma methodology
- Ability to use, update, and maintain the quality management system
- Able to maintain confidentiality on products, services, and processes
- Ability to lead a team
Quality Manager Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years managing a quality department
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration preferred
- Experience in close tolerance, CNC machined, powertrain components in automotive industry
- Certification in quality control (Six Sigma) is strongly preferred
- Experience with ERP system – Plex Management System preferred
- Experience with MiniTab or other analytical tools
- Strong leadership skills
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Exhibits professionalism in dealing with customers

Pay: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
