The Regional Operations Director is a dynamic and critical leadership role that is central in driving Purple Wave's success within the assigned region. This position oversees all aspects of regional operations for our equipment auctions, ensuring smooth execution and maximizing auction revenue.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Lead and motivate a high-performing regional operations team, including District Operations managers, Field Operations Specialists, Field Operations Schedulers, and administrative staff.

Participates in the hiring and training of departmental managers and employees.

Organizes and oversees the work and schedules of departmental managers.

Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement operational strategies and procedures to optimize equipment acquisition, cataloging, preparation, and presentation for auction, adhering to Purple Wave's commitment to transparency and innovation.

Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to auction logistics, performance, and expenses, ensuring alignment with Purple Wave's national goals.

Oversee all aspects of equipment transportation, storage, and security throughout the auction lifecycle.

Collaborate with Purple Wave's sales and marketing teams to ensure successful promotion and marketing of regional auction events, attracting a thriving community of buyers and sellers.

Manage budgets and resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective operation of regional auction activities.

Analyze data and reports to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and auction performance.

Build strong relationships with equipment sellers, buyers, and industry professionals to foster a thriving regional auction ecosystem, upholding Purple Wave's values of trust and partnership.

Travel throughout the region to oversee auction operations and interact with stakeholders.

Undertake additional assigned duties as requested.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or 10 years experience in a related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in a leadership role within the equipment auction industry or a related field.

Proven track record of successfully managing auction operations and achieving revenue targets.

Strong understanding of equipment valuation, marketing, and auction best practices, aligned with Purple Wave's commitment to innovation and efficiency.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.

Proficient in project management methodologies and problem-solving skills.

Experience with relevant auction software and industry databases is a plus.

Proficient in data analysis and using metrics for decision-making. Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.

Working Settings:

Full-time Salaried Exempt, not eligible for overtime.

Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required depending on priorities.

Required to live in the assigned region or have the ability or willingness to relocate to the area within a defined time as agreed upon during the hiring process.

Expected to travel up to 50% of the time.

To ensure effective collaboration and strategic alignment, approximately 20% of your travel will be dedicated to visiting Purple Wave Headquarters.

Please note that this position is physically demanding and requires regular climbing, lifting, and physical exertion. The Regional Operations Director will be required to climb on, over, and under equipment. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Compensation:
-
The salary varies based on experience and qualifications, but typically ranges from $120,000 to $140,000 per year.

Company vehicle provided.
-
This position includes company-provided cell phone and computer equipment.

You will also be a participant in the Company’s Monthly Bonus Plan. Monthly bonuses are determined by the Company’s monthly revenue result and are paid on a “percent to plan” payout formula. (90% = $300, 100% = $600, 110% = $900, 120% = $1,200)
