The Director of Sales-Select Service oversees sales and marketing operations for a Select Service hotel, aiming to achieve optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue while meeting or surpassing hotel profit objectives.

As the Director of Sales, you will have direct oversight of sales and marketing operations, responsible for achieving optimal occupancy and ADR growth to maximize total revenue while meeting/exceeding hotel profit objectives. Your duties will include overseeing the hotel sales department, managing budget forecasts, advertising, marketing, and business plans for our Select Service hotel. Additionally, you will coordinate all group, transient, and corporate sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue.

1. **Revenue Growth Leadership:**
- Drive revenue growth across sales segments (group, transient, catering).
- Meet quarterly sales objectives.
- Monitor market trends and competition to inform strategic decisions.

- Manage the sales and marketing budget.

**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a successful Director of Sales in the hospitality industry.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Familiarity with Smith Travel Research and other relevant industry data.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey market trends and insights.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities
- Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within market
- Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with key accounts
- Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
- Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
- Reporting on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts
- Handle incoming sales inquiries for extended stays & groups of 5 or greater
- Create and maintain Business Transient and Group Agreements
- Participate in weekly revenue calls- reporting out on sales activities and market forecast
- Respond to Extended Stay leads & Customers in a timely fashion
- Review daily arrivals and create welcome notes/gifts for extended stay guests
- Track weekly sales activities
Skills
- Proven sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets
- Previous experience as a sales executive in the hospitality or similar industry, sales manager or sales and marketing director
- Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
- Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Proven ability to position products against competitors
- Demonstrable experience as head of sales, developing client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
- Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

- Account Management and New Business Development
- Responsible for overseeing the retention and acquisition of accounts by growing existing accounts and generating new business to a level that meets or exceeds sales forecasts.
- Executes all aspects of the sales and marketing plans to surpass revenue goals. This includes making outside sales calls and cold calls while maintaining relationships with current account.
