Green Hills Community is recruiting for a hospitality focused Director of Facilities to join our team! This role is responsible for overseeing the care and maintenance of all aspects of the community’s physical plant to include maintaining an effective preventative maintenance program; the hiring, training and supervising of all maintenance and groundskeeping employees; the coordinating of life safety and security programs; the procuring of supplies, material and equipment, and assisting with budget preparation and operating within budgetary guidelines.
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a Director of Facilities:
- Plans, provides, and maintains a quality facility with respect to the interior and exterior of the buildings, roads, grounds, tools, and equipment to achieve a safe, sanitary, and health living/working environment for the residents and staff and to provide residents with quality security and facility services.
- Leads all departmental employee functions, providing the facility with productive, responsive employees who are well trained and effectively managed.
- Recruits, selects, trains, evaluates, and counsels facilities personnel. Makes recommendations to the Executive Director concerning wage and salary adjustments and staffing patterns.
- Demonstrates technical and management knowledge, proficiency, and initiative in achieving goals and meeting standards.
- Formulates and implements tools for training evaluations and methods for follow-up. Completes inspections and other quality assurance procedures. Maintains accurate documentation that meets Human Resources guidelines.
- Works collaboratively with employees, contractors, vendors, etc. to ensure facilities work can be properly planned and maintained to meet the needs of the community. Coordinates work so as not to interrupt resident care or normal business functions.
- Ensures preventative maintenance schedules on all equipment, buildings, utilities, and grounds are appropriate and carried out.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five years residential building maintenance, senior living building maintenance, or related field
- Two years supervisory experience
