The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering individualized activities which promote the social, emotional, and physical development of children in a group setting. Activities must be designed so that each child has the opportunity for individual progress and experience success. The Outpatient Therapist must have an understanding of age-appropriate developmental levels and have knowledge of the effectiveness and safety of various activities. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as an understanding of the principles of play therapy.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients' needs and assist them with completing their medical work-ups.
- Assist patients with obtaining medical care.
- Assess patient's physical, emotional and financial status and help find resources for the patient if needed.
- Help care for patients with chronic disease.
- Meet with patients to discuss health concerns.
- Resolve patient's problems in a timely manner.
Must Bill at least 25 one hour sessions per week for free supervison
- Must Have LPC/R, LCSW/R, or LMFT/R in North Carolina
