The Staff Accountant will be responsible for taking the helm in auditing trips for compliance with jet card agreements and policies. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough audits of trips within the designated 3-month timeframe (October 2023 - December 2023), ensuring compliance with customer contracts and company policies.
- Review each trip meticulously, examining all relevant products and services to verify accurate charges to customers.
- Identify any discrepancies or errors in trip charges and promptly report them for resolution.
- Summarize and categorize different types of errors encountered during the audit process for reporting purposes.
- Work diligently to rectify errors and ensure accurate billing and invoicing.
- Prepare daily wires for accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Generate bills and invoices using QuickBooks software, adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
- Manage collections of outstanding receivables, following up with customers as necessary to facilitate payment.
- Charge customer credit cards for incidentals and additional charges, maintaining accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in month end closing procedures and reconciliation.
- Collaborate with relevant teams or departments to resolve any billing or invoicing discrepancies effectively.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to billing, invoicing, and accounts payable processes.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members or departments as needed.
- Complete assigned tasks within the anticipated timeframe of up to 6 months, ensuring timely project completion.
Skill and Abilities:
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meticulously review and analyze financial data.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant accounting experience
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
- Experience with auditing processes preferred.
- Familiarity with aviation finance or related industry experience is a plus.
