**Overview:**
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic planning and development initiatives, as well as managing other individuals within the department. **Responsibilities:**
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's customer base
- Identify new business opportunities and partnerships
- Lead negotiations with potential clients and partners
- Manage projects related to business development activities
- Collaborate with the team to achieve revenue targets
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities
-Use available tools, such as SAM.GOV and GovWinIQ to find posted opportunities we can pursue.
- Represent the company at project fairs and conferences, including booth set up and educating potential clients on our areas of expertise and capabilities.
-Maintain GMS website with current photos, videos, vessel spec sheets, etc, as well as taking the lead on an effective marketing and advertising campaign.
-Collaborate with Operations Management to edit and maintain the vessel operations calendar and ensure that company employees and clients are up to date on vessel plans, crewing needs, and operational requirements.
**Experience and Skills:**
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or related field
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Proficiency in strategic planning and project management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a team and achieve goals.
