This is an Orthodontic Assistant position providing chairside assistance and ensuring patients are well-informed about orthodontic procedures and aftercare.
Duties:
- Assist the orthodontist in providing quality orthodontic care to patients
- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for orthodontic procedures
- Assist with dental impressions and models
- Perform orthodontic procedures such as placing brackets, bands, and wires
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions
- Provide exceptional patient care and ensure patient comfort during procedures
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in dental assisting or orthodontics preferred
- Prior experience working as an orthodontic assistant is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
2-3 days per week at approximately 15-22 hours per week
