This is a feel-good position aimed at encouraging adults with disabilities to become as self-directing as possible. Our staff help the participants maintain good standards of hygiene and help stimulate mental alertness through conversation and participation in individualized appropriate activities.
Requirements
- assist participants in establishing a daily schedule for household duties and activities of daily living
- instructing participants in learning and re-learning household duties
- participate in conversation, companionship and other activities
- assist participants to and from community activities and appointments
- teach participants money management skills
- teach participants friendship/relationship skills
- facilitate safety skills
- assist participants with behavior management as needed
- Current CPR certification and first aid training
- Successful completion of paid training
- maintain current and accurate clinical records
- Provide personal care
Salary Description
$14 - $16 / hour
