At Meridian Podiatry, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to our patients, especially those who are at risk. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Assistant with experience in podiatry to provide nail care for at-risk patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in podiatric procedures, excellent patient care skills, and a commitment to improving the health and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine nail care procedures, including trimming, filing, and treating toenails for at-risk patients.
- Assist the podiatrist with patient assessments and treatments.
- Provide patient education on foot hygiene and nail care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all treatments and observations.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas.
- Schedule and follow up on patient appointments.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients.
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a podiatry setting.
- Knowledge of foot and nail conditions and treatments.
- Ability to work with at-risk patients, including those with diabetes or circulatory issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
