Responsibilities:
-Must have xray license
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take dental x-rays
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments and manage the dental office calendar
- Order and maintain dental supplies and equipment
- Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- X-ray certification required
- Proficient in using dental software systems (Epic, Eaglesoft)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and dental procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with medical coding and billing processes is a plus
- Experience with CAD/CAM systems for digital impressions is preferred
