Responsibilities of the Business Development Manager position:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to meet the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to bring on new client accounts.
- Expand our footprint to new geographical areas and further grow within the charter bus and transportation industry.
- Conduct research on competitors' products and services and analyze market segments within the charter bus and transportation industry.
- Create and oversee marketing campaigns through social media in collaboration with our marketing department.
- Develop and submit RFPs for prospective contract opportunities.
- Negotiate contracts with clients.
- Develop and foster relationships with new and existing clients.
- Attend conferences related to the transportation industry.
- Track and report on business development activities, results, and ROI.
Requirements / Skills / Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
- Proven track record of successfully bringing on new client accounts and expanding business footprints.
- Must possess a creative approach to sales and marketing.
- Motivated, independent thinker.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong knowledge of marketing and usability with social media platforms.
