Practice Manager:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management and/or extensive experience within the veterinary management industry. Those with advanced degrees are encouraged to apply.
- Strong leadership skills with effective supervision and motivation of staff
- Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills with staff, clients, and distributors
- Firsthand experience of the medical and business aspects of veterinary medicine.
- Problem solving skills in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work harmoniously with a variety of personalities.
- Trustworthy and honest.
Duties:
- Management, administration, and supervision of staff including but not limited to hiring, training, discipline, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to maintain compliance with OSHA, DEA, CURES, CVMA, etc.
- Monitoring and maintaining inventory, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitoring COGS, implementing price updates, negotiating pricing with distributors, service providers, and sales representatives.
- Managing payroll including tracking and calculating associate production.
- Overseeing employee discounts and payment collections.
- Overseeing marketing, financing, organization, ethics, and legal aspects of the hospital.
- Expected to help increase gross income and net profitability of the practice.
