Certified Registered Nurse needed for our fast-growing, AAAHC-certified OBS facility. Candidates must be a strong, efficient administrator who is patient-oriented with prior experience administering sedation and analgesic medications ("conscious sedation”). Candidate will work under the direct supervision of a physician. Additional qualifications would be administration of IV sedation and ACLS certification.
Candidate must be able to manage the Pre-Op area and Recovery Room and provide expert professional nursing care for the patient during the pre- and post-procedure course.

What we're looking for
Sussex Pain Relief Center is seeking a talented individual who possesses high-level organizational and communication skills. You’ll be leading our Procedure Room team as we prepare for the addition of new interventional procedures and while we maintain our current schedules and operations.
Responsibilities
*Clinically Sound*
- Using sound judgment when administering medical care and screening patients;
- Administering medications and knowing correct dosage, actions, and side effects of each medication administered;
- Identify emergency situations and demonstrate active participation in any required interventions.
*Reporting & Inventory Management*
- Report KPIs directly to our Chief Operating Officer.
- This position works under the direction of the supervising physician.
- Maintain supplies inventory in a cost-effective and prepared manner.
*Thoroughness*
- Pre-screen patients for any complications. Review their charts and prep for their procedures ahead of their scheduled visit.
- Perform comprehensive and focal assessments of the patient as necessary.
- Prepare and organize charts for physicians.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of medical supplies and equipment.
*Leadership & Governance*
- Oversee daily operations of the procedure room.
- Ensure all actions, job performance, and personal conduct and communications are representative of the company's professionalism and values.
- Uphold and ensure compliance with all corporate and clinical policies and protocols as well as the overall mission of the organization.
- Participate and improve our efforts to maintain our accreditation and our excellent standards of care.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in a clinical or surgical environment
- Prior experience in an OR or Recovery Room is a plus
- Prior experience in pain management is a plus
- Prior administrative experience, especially with surveys, is a plus
- BLS/ACLS certifications
- Administer conscious sedation and monitor patients during their procedure.
- Ensure the comfort and safety of each patient by acting as a liaison between the physician and the patient.
- Familiarity with dosage, route of administration, action, adverse drug reactions, and reversal medications of commonly used medications.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Manual dexterity as well as hearing and visual acuity are essential to job tasks
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment

Expected work schedule could be either part-time or full-time. Please communicate your availability and schedule preferences.
