We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Global Logistics Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will support our online ecommerce stores, manage logistics timelines, and ensure the timely delivery of domestic and international shipments to our customers. This role involves coordinating with warehouse shippers, resolving daily shipping issues, preparing international customs documentation, and handling freight billing for projects.
Training for this position will be on-site, then the position will be remote.
Essential Job Functions:
- Support online ecommerce stores
- Coordinate logistics timelines with warehouse shippers
- Ensure timely delivery of domestic and international shipments to customers
- Resolve daily shipping issues, including shipment delays, customs clearance, and missing shipments
- Prepare and proof international customs documentation
- Demonstrate familiarity with incoterms
- Optimize shipping methods considering corporate parcel contracts, cost, and transit time
- Create shipping quotes following company profitability expectations
- Initiate and follow through on cargo claims
- Bill freight for projects
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the transportation and logistics industry
- International export experience preferred
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to work independently, under delegation, and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills using a logical thought process
- Data compilation and analysis skills
- Strong multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to ask questions for clarification
- Sound judgment, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to remain focused and provide exceptional customer service
