Chicago Cardiology Institute is GROWING and offering new diagnostic services for our patients. We are seeking a Technologist for our state of the art PET Machine in the Oak Park facility.
This is a part time position on during the week roughly 4 hours on scheduled days from 4:00-8:00 pm with availability on Sunday's. Candidate should be able to work a full day.
Duties include:
- Explain imaging procedures/equipment and answering questions/concerns that patients may have in a calm, compassionate manner to ease anxiety or nerves patients may have about imaging.
- Preparing equipment and room for patient exams, operate
- Administering trace amounts of radiopharmaceuticals to a patient to obtain functional information about organs, tissues and bone through operation of Scanner
- Positioning and monitoring patients during imaging while obtaining quality images
- Maintains order and conditions of work environment including checking operating condition of equipment, ensures cleanliness of exam rooms, stocks supplies, etc.
in accordance with company standards and procedures
- Ensuring safety of patients during exams.
Successful candidate will accurately document patient exams, communicate with radiologist, physician and nurses as needed. Full benefits available for those who work 30 or more hours weekly.
