EARN TO LEARN PROGRAM:
Are you wanting to get into the healthcare field? We are offering a part-time position as a Neighborhood Helper but also the paid schooling to get your CNA license and potential for a position after you are licensed. We have four of these positions available now. You attend school during the day and work part-time in the evenings and/or weekends.
Essential Functions for Neighborhood Helper
The job duties listed are essential functions of the position. However, other duties may be assigned, and may also be considered essential functions of the position.
For direct patient care roles: performs and maintains currency of essential competencies as required by specific areas of hire and populations served
- Performs housekeeping functions to maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment.
- Transports residents to activities, events, and meals.
- Provides companionship to residents who may need additional support for emotional comfort and safety.
- Upon completion of a state approved training program, The Neighborhood Helper assists residents with meals, snacks, hydration per CMS regulations.
- Answer call lights and refer direct care requests to trained and licensed personnel.
- Retrieves, cleans, and returns equipment.
- Stocks supplies.
- Adheres to the safety policy and procedures.
EDUCATION
Required/ Preferred Education Level Major/Area of study
Required H.S. Diploma or GED
Licenses and Certifications
Licenses, certifications, and Registrations must be unencumbered and valid in the state(s) of hire and wherever care is delivered.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certificate within 30 days of hire
- Food handlers’ card within 30 days of hire
Must be able to pass a criminal background check.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
