Master's Degree is highly preferred. Bachelor's degree in education, Counseling, Rehabilitation, Personal Financial Management or related field is required. Must have a minimum of three years' experience in, or related to, career planning, employment services, personal financial management, direct advisement of students, curriculum design, and/or instructing. Ability to communicate effectively (writing, listening, speaking).
Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests, learning and motivation. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships using tact, diplomacy, and overall professionalism. Must be able to operate a personal computer, printer, etc., and have current knowledge in various office computer programs and software applications. Skilled in program design, implementation, and management. Ability to plan, organize, instruct and facilitate educational courses of quality. Ability to relate to a diverse student population. Experience in education, career and personal financial management development strategies for diverse higher education populations. Experience in resume writing. Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people. Accredited Financial Counselor certification or willingness to potentially obtain certification. Experience in program analysis, evaluation and developing policies and procedures.
