Job description:
- Assist the GM in overseeing the restaurant operations, monitoring production output and food costs.
- Work daily with GM to upkeep restaurant
- Ensure accurate recipe execution of all recipes
- Maintains ongoing proper food inventory levels.
- Follows company guidelines on vendor relationships.
- Assists with ordering and maintenance of all food and paper inventories, FIFO
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Provide a safe, sanitary work environment, which conforms to all DOH standards and regulations
- Supervise and participate in the production, preparation, ensure that a consistent quality product is produced which conforms to all established standards
- Interview, hire, schedule, train, develop staff, resolve problems, provide open communication, recommend discipline as appropriate and perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
- Maintain and develop schedules that maximize the use of time and efficiencies
- Upkeep and maintenance of all kitchen equipment
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent, culinary degree preferred; serve safe certified.
- Three years cooking experience as a Sous Chef or related culinary position.
- Cook chill experience preferred.
