Job Summary:

Responsible for the overall supervision and management of the Clinical Department. This is accomplished by ensuring the highest possible quality of care, service, and resident/staff satisfaction, while maintaining maximum occupancy and smooth department operations within budget; and with a focus on consistently providing excellent Customer Service and continuous enhancement of the Resident Experience.
Essential Duties and responsibilities Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job.:
- Responsible for ensuring that each resident is getting the appropriate care and services as identified by his/her physician and/or by the Community via the use of an appropriate appraisal tool.
- Responsible for ensuring Personal Service Plans are accurate and updated in a timely fashion.
- Provide training for, and maintain all quality assurance standards for Infection Control, Standard Precautions, Sharps Management, Outbreak Management, and Worker’s Compensation.
- Manage clinical components of Home Office Reporting.
- Communicates any resident change of condition to the family and/or physician in a timely manner.
- Responsible for accuracy of Move-N Monthly Fees.
- Responsible for maintaining appropriate Care Notes in a timely manner.
- Supervises all Personal Care Staff and Nurses.
- Responsible for maintaining an appropriate Staffing to Care schedule.
- Ensures timely completion and documentation of all required RCFE and CSL training.
- Ensure new associates complete the New Hire Checklists within the designated timeframes.
- Maintains Residents’ Clinical Charts.
- Orders Supplies.
- Manages payroll paperwork.
- Maintains working knowledge of, and compliance with CSL Policies and Procedures, CSL Quality Assurance Metrics and State Regulations.
- Conducts regular Family Care Conferences and Resident Care Conferences.
- Interacts with residents and families in a professional manner and with sensitivity and a positive attitude.
- Follows through on requests and complaints from residents/families in a timely manner.
- Understands all emergency protocols, responds to emergencies, and provides direction for associates during emergencies when needed.
- Supports an on-going Safety Awareness Program for residents and associates.
- Reports accidents, injuries and/or incidents immediately to the Associate Director and Executive Director along with all the appropriate documentation.
- Provides the appropriate tools and training to the Personal Care Staff and Nurses.
- Responsible for the overall operations and regulatory requirements in the Medications Room.
- May conduct a community tour for prospective residents/families.
- Provide employee evaluations per Human Resource Protocols.
- Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Responsibilities may include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- May perform daily payroll edits. Adjust payroll records as appropriate. Perform end of period review.
- Observe work environment for potential injury hazards and take appropriate preventative safety precautions. Actively participate in prevention, reporting, and management of Workers’ Comp. Claims.
- Able to read and write reports, business correspondence, memos and staff performance evaluations.
- May manage staff schedules.

- Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out written or oral instructions.
- Education and Experience
- According to Title 22 requirements, employee must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Associates Degree
- Two years related experience and/or training or a combination of education and experience.
- This position may be held by a(n) LVN/RN.
- Certificates, License, Registration
- Current R.C.F.E. certification is strongly recommended.
- Current First Aid Certification (obtained through community)
- DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed prior to working in community (obtained through community)
- Health screening and negative TB test, must be less than six (6) months old. (obtained through community)
