Job Summary
This position will drive sales of HVAC commercial product offering with mechanical contractors and engineering consultants to grow sales volume and ensure successful projects.
Responsibilities and Duties
Cultivate relationships with existing clients and generate opportunities with new clients
Utilize your excellent communication and networking stills to nurture relationships and promote sales growth within a defined customer list
Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential clients
Perform equipment selections for consulting engineers
Prepare accurate and detailed estimates and provide proposals to contractors and clients within designated deadlines
Sales follow up on quotes and upcoming projects
Entertain clients by means such as factory trips, golf, sporting events etc. to build relationships
Develop an in-depth understanding of our HVAC product offering
Support all aspects of the sales process with an understanding of the pre-construction timeline
Develop a culture of creativity in approach to business development
Read building blueprints / specifications to select properly applied HVAC equipment
Articulate product positioning to clients and inside sales staff including competitor substitutions
Coordinate with internal partners to develop sales strategies and margin targets
Perform project management duties including purchasing, submittals, order entry, shipment, delivery, resolution of return, warranty claims, and quality issues as needed to ensure successful projects
Interact with manufacturers, management, and inside sales team
Stay up to date on product offerings and manufacturer software tools
Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, projects, and correspondence
Take responsibility for personal development and identify training needs as required including factory trainings
Perform equipment counts and take-offs to determine scope of project as needed
Qualifications
2-3 Years Proven Sales Experience in HVAC
Mechanical Engineering degree preferred; other technical degrees are also considered
Ability to work independently
Strong negotiating skills
Self-Motivated and results oriented with a track record of exceeding sales goals
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically to overcome challenges
Ability to multi-task with a strong sense of urgency
Positive attitude required
Excellent organization, documentation, and communication skills
