ATX Learning is looking for a committed School Nurse to be responsible for the planning and implementation of a school nursing program. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing high quality care to children. You will have great interpersonal skills and will be able to organize your work using tools like Microsoft Office and Google Sheets. The goal is to help students acquire the highest possible academic and social performance by providing a well-designed nursing service that improves the students’ overall well-being, physical condition and social performance.
Specific duties may be varied.
- Develop and implement a well-designed nursing service for students
- Administer prescribed medications when prescribed by a physician
- Monitor students’ health and condition during and after schooling hours
- Assess students’ physical condition and emotional state and their ability to learn and grow in this environment by using observation skills
- Communicate with parents about the same by phone or email
- Collaborate with other nurses on student care
- Maintain accurate records of students’ care and education status
- Well-versed in computer software, like Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, etc.
- Able to use common office equipment like printers, copiers, fax machines, etc.
- Provide visitors visitors accommodations according to the accreditation criteria
- Assess students' learning progress by evaluating student test results and commenting on student progress with teachers, coaches etc.
- Maintain professional knowledge level by attending conferences or seminars; completing online training courses; earning certifications; or completing other training.
TRACH EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Qualifications:
LVN or RN License
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00 - $47.00 per hour
