It starts with our people, which is why we are in need of a motivated and enthusiastic Learning and Development Manager. This individual will play an integral role in executing highly visible global milestone initiatives, including our mid-level associate conference, global sponsorship program, and first year/junior associate programs. This position is part of a team in growth mode, actively shaping the firm’s learning strategy and framework.
Responsibilities:

Manages the strategic creation, implementation and evaluation of fee-earner professional skills virtual learning pathways.

Manages the strategic creation and execution of in-person milestone programming, including but not limited to the US First Year Associate Conference/Program, Mid-Level Associate Conference, Senior Associate Program, Global Sponsorship Program, and the Newly Promoted Partner Program.

Design and deliver innovative and engaging training taking into consideration fee-earner skill development needs.

Conduct training need analysis and oversee evaluations for individual programs and initiatives.

Provide coaching support for senior non-partner fee-earners on an as-needed basis.

Develop relationships with existing external providers and source and manage new supplier, ensuring value for money and best service.

Provides exemplary client service when partnering with fee-earners and business services colleagues, seeking to understand needs to shape the support given.

Manages and mentors junior Learning & Development team members.

Coordinate with the wider People team to support departmental and firmwide projects.

Maintains a detailed knowledge of learning and development issues through appropriate reading, seminars, networking events and practical experience.

Collaborates with CLE team to ensure L&D programming is accredited within relevant jurisdictions as needed.

Education/Experience:
-
This role would suit a learning and development professional with 5-7 years of program design and delivery experience, ideally in a professional services environment.

Strong experience in identifying learning needs, instructional design, and delivery of in-person and virtual training sessions.

A coaching certification and/or experience is highly desirable, as well as accreditations in any psychometric tools.

Experience managing or supervising/developing other L&D professionals is desirable.

Experience of LMS systems and curating online learning is desirable but not essential.
