Automotive metal stamping company seeks experienced Full-Time Tool and Die Repairmen. Pay is based on experience and will range from 28-36/hr. **SIGN ON BONUS
Essential duties include the following:
- Assist in die tryout runs.
- Assist, when requested, in first piece approval runs.
- Assist, when requested, in troubleshooting non-conforming production processes.
- Repair dies as documented on the Die Maintenance Form.
- Assist in die modification to support Quality requirements.
- Make sections, punches, etc. per requirements documented on the design drawing.
- Use the Tool Room equipment, including lathe, milling, surface grinder, and radial drill.
- Bring problems to the attention of the Tool Room Supervisor/Manager.
- Take direction from the Tool Room Supervisor/Manager.
- In the Tool Room Supervisor’s absence, take direction from the Tool Room Leader, Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager.
- Assist in other areas of Company operations as deemed necessary.
- Knowledge of QMS/EMS.
- Knowledge of TS-16949 & ISO-14001.
Qualifications:
· Shop Math
· Measuring Tools
· Basic SPC
· Ability to read and understand the part engineering drawings.
· Willingness and ability to follow the rules for a safe workplace.
Job Requirements
- Candidate must have own tools and experience in automotive manufacturing.
- Previous experience operating an overhead crane and a Hi-Lo.
- 2-5 years' experience in tooling/die repair

Pay: $28.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Experience:
- Die Repair: 2 years (Required)
- Electrical discharge machining: 1 year (Required)
- Die Maintenance: 1 year (Required)
License/Certification:
- Journeyman License (Preferred)
