SUMMARY: The Staff Accountant supports the Partners in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance/Accounting Department with an emphasis on general accounting, payroll administration, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: includes but is not limited to the following, other duties may be assigned.
· Prepare journal entries
· Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts
· Cash management
· Manage payroll process
· Manage all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
· Bank reconciliations
· Cash and bank deposits
· Assist with the preparation and coordination of the audit process
· Prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested
· Develop, document, and adhere to standard work processes
· Prepare quarterly and annual reports
· Prepare W-2, 1099
· Profit Sharing reports and distribution
. Prepare and submit monthly sales tax
· Work with CPA firm for all reporting

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree, preferred, or Associate’s degree in Accounting or Bachelor’s degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting. Five years of experience with knowledge of Accounting principles and practices, demonstrated payroll processing experience strongly preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of all levels of employees and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to identify and anticipate problems and implement solutions and process improvements. This position requires exceptional judgment skills. The ability to prioritize activities and handle multiple tasks is essential to this position.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word). Previous experience with ERP systems preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
