Cemetery Maintenance Technician I
As a Cemetery Maintenance Tech I, you will be responsible for all aspects of cemetery grounds maintenance. This includes assisting with burial services, providing landscape maintenance, and removing trash from cemetery grounds.
Essential Functions -
the basic job duties an employee must be able to perform:-
Assist with burial services

Provide landscape maintenance such as mowing, trimming, and minor pruning

Remove trash from cemetery grounds

Complete assigned work orders and tasks requiring semi-skilled maintenance skills and techniques following City policies and procedures, public safety standards, and aesthetic guidelines related to maintenance work.

Operate various hand and power tools and shop equipment; and operate equipment as assigned including mowers, utility vehicles, and small tractors.

May be required to remain on-call for emergency or disaster situations.

The City of Colorado Springs offers additional compensation depending on the position, area of assignment, and specific job assignments, including shift differential, pay differential, acting or lead, special assignment, hazard pay, longevity, cell phone allowance, uniform allowance, relocation, awards, standby, call out, compensatory time off, tuition, overtime, extra duty, incentive, holiday premium, proficiency, and vacation sell back.
