Job Description
Candidate will participate in all aspects of the product design for high performance camera robotic products. The main responsibility of the position will be PC board level design work, block diagrams, schematics, artwork, manufacturing documentation. This will include the architecture of complete boards with total design responsibility. Design work will include, but not limited to: Analog, Digital, Servo motor control, and Power supplies. Customer and quality assurance needs to be maintained at all time.
Candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to use appropriate design tools and computer systems to preform PC board design. Must be capable of working within a team environment to plan, organize, execute while thoroughly documenting complex system designs. The ability to assist in developing technical solutions to customers is required. Test and debug skills are necessary; must understand interoperability of hardware, firmware, software. Must be able to manage and support multiple tasks on a consistent basis, while providing the highest level of service. Good verbal and writing skills are necessary.
Primary Responsibilities
- Candidate will participate in all aspects of the design in a product development setting for high performance robotic camera products.
- Creation and upkeep of company product documents.
- Maintenance of current products and feature addition.
- Coordinate multiple build activities internally with engineering projects.
- Direct test engineers and technicians on specific projects.
- Provide customer support in the factory and in the field.
- Communicate with contract manufacturers.
Job Qualifications
- BE in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; 5 years or more applicable experience.
- Must be capable of working within a team to plan and individually.
- Must be capable of thoroughly troubleshooting and documenting complex system designs.
- Proven ability to assist in developing technical solutions to customer specifications.
- Experience with testing and debugging in lab prototypes (initial bring up) and in field customer sites.
- Experience with CE and FCC certification.
- Strong Knowledge of Time Management.
- Strong knowledge of Analog, Digital and Embedded design (motor drives, D/A, A/D, embedded microcontroller circuitry).
- Knowledge of design, development, test engineering, and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of firmware interrelation with hardware design.
- Ability to read hardware block diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of PCB schematic and layout tools (Altium a plus).
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft suite; Outlook, Word, Excel, etc...
- Good verbal and writing skills are necessary.
- Willing to travel domestically and internationally; less than 5%.
