Reporting to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President – Human Resources is an integral member of the HRHS senior management team and is responsible for leading and managing the development, implementation and operation of the System’s human resources functions. The Vice President – Human Resources will closely advise and partner with the HRHS senior management team concerning a variety of organization issues and work within the system to translate System strategic priorities into Human Resources initiatives that promote the wellbeing of all HRHS team members and the recruitment, hiring, retention, and ongoing compensation matters of employed physicians. The Vice President – Human Resources will inform the CEO and, through the CEO, the Board of Directors, of all human resources related operational issues and accomplishments.

- Physician Recruiters
- Director – Hannibal Children’s Center
Qualifications:
- 10 years professional human resources management experience overall, with a minimum of 3 years senior-leadership experience in an organization recognized for its excellence in the Human Resources function
- Director-level candidates with the required overall experience will be considered
- Healthcare Human Resources experience preferred
- Solid education background including a BS in Business or closely related field is required. An advanced degree in human resources, business administration (MBA), psychology or public administration is strongly preferred but not required
- Certification as a Human Resources professional from SHRM or HRCI desired
- Strong relationship builder and communicator with experience leading diverse work teams, developing an organization-wide strategy for program excellence, engaging community partners, and partnering with senior leaders
- Can point to tangible examples of reporting and program measurement and evaluation. Demonstrates integrity, strives for excellence in her/his work, and has experience of leading others to new levels of effectiveness and programmatic impact
- Passionate about Hannibal Regional Healthcare System’s Mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, Mission and Values of Hannibal Regional Healthcare System to external and internal stakeholders
- Ability to travel to provide on-site leadership for multi-site operating units and programs
- Possess a solid understanding of the challenges associated with the integration and management of multi-facility and location Human Resource systems
- Demonstrated experience and success in aligning disparate needs and objectives for organization benefit
- Demonstrated ability to express ideas logically, cogently and persuasively. Has exceptional written, presentation and communication skills
- Has flexibility of thought and a willingness to listen to others regarding input and feedback. Demonstrates a genuine, open style and partners well with others
- Experience as a trusted advisor and strong role model for effective leadership practices, building effective partnerships and influencing other leaders
- Experience serving on various community boards, initiatives and outreach projects for Human Resources and/or healthcare related programs
