Job Summary:
The Healthcare Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's treasury functions, including cash management, investment activities, and financial risk management. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare financial operations, strong analytical skills, and the ability to develop and implement effective treasury strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Cash Management:
Oversee daily cash flow management, including forecasting and monitoring cash positions.
Ensure optimal utilization of cash resources and maintain adequate liquidity levels.
Manage banking relationships and negotiate terms for banking services.
Financial Risk Management:
Identify, assess, and manage financial risks, including interest rate and currency risks.
Implement hedging strategies and other risk mitigation measures.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Debt Management:
Oversee debt issuance and management, including bond financing and loan agreements.
Monitor debt covenants and ensure timely debt service payments.
Maintain relationships with credit rating agencies and investors.
Treasury Operations:
Manage treasury operations, including the development of policies and procedures.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of treasury activities.
Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to support financial planning and analysis.
Strategic Planning:
Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and capital planning.
Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on treasury-related matters.
Lead treasury-related projects and initiatives to enhance financial performance.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, preferably in the healthcare sector.
Proven experience in cash management, investment management, and financial risk management.
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of technical accounting standards
- Expertise in account reconciliation techniques
- Familiarity with debits and credits in accounting
