Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. As an LPN, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the well-being and comfort of our patients while adhering to all medical protocols and standards.
Duties:
- Administer medications, as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, and heart rate
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient education on disease management, medication administration, and lifestyle modifications
- Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Cerner
- Specialize in specific areas of care, such as pediatrics, ophthalmology, hospital settings, behavioral health, dementia care, or tube feeding
- Ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality
- Assist with durable medical equipment (DME) setup and maintenance
Qualifications:
- Valid LPN license in the state of [State]
- Proven experience administering injections and medications
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Cerner
- Knowledge of specialized areas of care, such as pediatrics, ophthalmology, hospital settings, behavioral health, dementia care, or tube feeding
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to provide high-quality patient care
