COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST II - THIS IS A PART-TIME HYBRID POSITION; 2 -3 DAYS PER WEEK.
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates, writes, edits and produces employee and external communications products in support of nuclear fleet, plants, the fleet, industry and company initiatives, photography, graphic work, video, leadership communications, and other related communications responsibilities. Will work some projects with communicators working in the Operations business. Also supports local community relations efforts with communications products. The majority of the work will be in the company’s nuclear business, which will require extra on-line training.
JOB DUTIES: Produces communications (print materials, employee articles, infographics, presentations, video, social media posts) in support of fleet, site, industry and company efforts. Writes and coordinates human interest profile pieces that highlight employee engagement both internally and externally. Partners with plant site communicators at plants in Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. Rewrites and combines site-specific communications for fleet use as appropriate. Organizes and executes executive visibility and feedback program. Produces communications materials that highlight top focus areas. Finds and produces positive employee news features on fleet, site and personal achievements that highlight employee engagement and discretionary effort towards recovery focus areas. Designs and produces communications audio-visual materials (infographics, photography pieces, graphic design elements, videos and intranet updates). Aids colleagues on communications campaigns, including Public Relations and Marketing. Photography, graphic work, video shooting, editing and social media.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor's Degree in related Communications, Journalism, Public Relations field or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Proficient in writing using AP style, familiarization with desktop publishing and graphics software. Must be excellent writer, photographer, graphics, video. This is a hybrid position. Days in office to be determined. Reports to Communications Director. Some travel may be required.
